Ms. Bartee has been practicing law in the State of Arizona since 1989. As a native Nebraskan she went to college at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln and Creighton School of Law in Omaha, received her Juris Doctor in 1988 and passed the Nebraska Bar Examination. Ms. Bartee's parents had moved to Arizona in 1985. After just a couple of visits to Arizona, she knew that she wanted to make Arizona her home after graduating from law school. After moving to Arizona in 1988, Ms. Bartee worked at a small law firm in Tempe while studying for the Arizona Bar Examination. Ms. Bartee was inducted into the Arizona State Bar in 1989. After working for other lawyers for a few years, Ms. Bartee opened her own practice in 1993.
Ms. Bartee has spent all of her legal career advocating for parents and children in the Family and Juvenile Courts. As a family law attorney she has experience in all manner of cases involving custody of children, parenting time, child support and division of assets and liabilities. All issues surrounding divorce and custody of children are difficult. As an advisor and advocate, Ms. Bartee's goal is to direct her clients towards the best possible resolution. Ideally, that resolution can be reached without litigation, keeping the parties in control of their future rather than having that decision placed upon them by a Court. If mediation is unsuccessful and litigation is necessary, Ms. Bartee is an experienced litigator and will zealously advocate for her clients in Court.
The role of Ms. Bartee as an attorney in Juvenile Court has evolved over the years. She started her career in Juvenile Court as a contract attorney for Maricopa County representing children and parents in Dependency and Severance cases. It has been quite a few years since Ms. Bartee acted as a contract attorney in Juvenile Court. However, she continues to represent clients privately in both Dependency and Severance matters.
Some of the most joyous days of Ms. Bartee's career have been spent in Juvenile Court representing adoptive parents. It is a rare and wonderful occasion to experience joy and smiles after a Court hearing. Ms. Bartee is grateful to all of those families who have allowed her to participate in their adoptions over the years.
If you have perused our website you will note that there are a few pictures that include a dog. Ms. Bartee's love of dogs is second only to the love she has for her family. She has two adult sons pursuing their own careers. Her time at home is spent with her husband of 30 years and of course, her three very spoiled pups.
